Activities within the woodland are overseen by a group of voluntary trustees. We all live nearby and enjoy everything this special place has to offer.
Emma Blain
Emma is an environmental lawyer with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA). She has enjoyed the woods for many years and now explores them with her daughter and her three legged lurcher, Emma holds the position of company secretary.
Debbie Borthwick
Works as an Apprenticeships Officer with Construction Industry Training Board, she is also a volunteer raptor worker with the Highland Raptor Study Group monitoring birds of prey. Debbie is our most recent board member and is very keen photographer. The images in the gallery are the result of Debbie's expert eye.
Danielle Harkness
Previously a Student of the Scottish School of Forestry in Inverness but now works for GB Railfreight. Enjoys the great outdoors and actively uses Dunain Community Woodland as a running route.
David Ross
Retired journalist David Ross moved to a house in the old Craig Dunain hospital building in March 2021, having lived for more than 30 years in Cromarty. On arrive he joined the group of volunteers who look after the woodland and its network of paths.
