Dunain Woods are owned by Robertson Homes. Dunain Community Woodland (SCIO) coordinates activity within the woods under permission from Robertson Homes. We are currently working with Robertson's to obtain a management agreement - a legal obligation as part of their planning consent from the Highland Council for the development of Westercraigs.
Our aim is to manage the woods for the benefit of the local community - in particular for education, training and, recreation, providing open access for members of the local community.

Come up to the woods!
Dunain Woods is open to everyone. Many come to the woods and open spaces just to enjoy them, to walk around, to listen to the birds, to visit the forest of the future with its native tree saplings, each one planted by local children or to picnic by the wildlife pond, and the reservoir, or enjoy the views from the ruined chambered cairn.
Anyone interested in the environment, health and wellbeing will enjoy Dunain Woods.
